Three days of celebration, thanking God for his love and fidelity !! A party full of emotions and the powerful manifestation of his Holy Spirit, in our 35 ANNIVERSARY "TRUE DISCIPLES Jn8: 31"
We started with a "Dinner-Dance" and with the attendance of 500 people where joy and communion were the main ingredients, as well as a delicious dinner; the most emotional moment of the night, when an acknowledgment for “Fidelity, Integrity and Service” was presented to our apostle Luis Sagarra and his wife, Cora de el; as well as our pastor Aquiles Maza and his wife Citlalli, for their 29 years as pastor of CVC XOLA and 33 years of service respectively. Each acknowledgment with the recorded promise of Matthew 25:21 ”. . . You have been faithful over a little over a lot I will put you. . . " then the Alicante pastor Antonio Abellán made a toast to the future of CVC full of hope, faith and extension of the kingdom of God, later the track was filled and the celebration continued.
On Saturday morning our guest pastor Johnny Ramírez shared the word with us, who addressed the 230 servers present, with the theme entitled: “When destiny is disguised”, he told us about the story of David, when in 1 Samuel 25 we see various characters acting in different ways, which are determined by their character: Saul, full of jealousy and envy against David; Nabal a mean and rude man; Abigail, a sensible and beautiful woman; and of course David a humble and kind man. Each of them facing situations that make them manifest their character. The point of view of each one, the way he looks at his circumstances, leads him to act and these actions determine his destiny. There is a big difference between behaving according to who we understand ourselves to be and reacting to circumstances. As leaders, as servants in our church, we must assume responsibility, assuming who we are in Christ; For this we need to: a) Recognize who we are despite the circumstances; b) Assume responsibility; and c) Do what is necessary to keep God's plan, without embracing lies.
The second topic shared by Pastor Johnny Ramírez, entitled “Living on the Edge of the Cliff”, based on the book of Numbers chapter 13, challenged us as servants to take a step of faith. The Lord's people were in the desert, on the border, on the border to reach the promised land; however, they allowed fear to fill their hearts and did not dare to remove the hindrances (giants) to conquer the promise. Josué, a man who sought the presence of God, if he believed in the promise and wanted to cross the border, because his mind and the way of looking at things, had been transformed by God, since he was seeking his presence. The Lord wants us to: a) explore his promises; b) Let us seek his presence; and c) Let us go through them taking a step of faith, with passion, with certainty, believing that in him we are victors. We must not allow our destiny and purpose to be hijacked by fear, we must believe what God has already given us and take it. Lord use us! We do not want to be on the edge, we want to take the step of faith, to meet our destiny.
As a final call for the servers, Pastor Johnny asked us to stand up and identify the enemy, the lie that we had embraced and the one that kept us in an attitude of fear, without crossing the border, without crossing the border. Standing, almost all of us standing, we could feel the moving of the Spirit of God, breaking ties, chains, demolishing fortresses and bringing freedom.
On Saturday afternoon 478 people had a wonderful time of praise and worship. Pastor Johnny Ramírez, with his characteristic simplicity, led us to the presence of the Lord and we rejoiced, adoring him through each song.
On Sunday 980 people gathered we celebrated our 35 years as a church, listening to a general report on what God has allowed us to do, figures that tell us about the growth that God has given to our church and the way in which thousands of people have been touched through ministry. Our apostle Luis Sagarra, with great emotion, recalled the beginnings of the work and the impact of how far God has taken us.
At first only one family: Luis, Cora and Magüe, people full of faith, with a clear vision regarding the heart of God to build a church of influence, made up of “disciples, making disciples”. Today 24 churches in different parts of the world, blessing thousands of people.
God has led the Ministry of the Christian Life Center, through our apostle Luis Sagarra and his pastoral team, to be of great influence in different countries of the world, through the church and the pillars that have emerged from it: Integration para la Vida, as a non-governmental organization whose purpose is to help vulnerable groups; Camino y vida, a publishing house and bookstore network, committed to spreading the Word and what God has taught us; and Promission, through which people are trained to develop missionary teams that take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
God has been very good and has remained faithful throughout these 35 years, taking us to places not imagined, doing things not thought about and exceeding all expectations.
Finally, Pastor Johnny Ramírez, shared with the 980 people who were gathered, a word of faith, based on the strength of the blessing that parents give their children, as Isaac did about the life of Jacob (Genesis 27). Sharing some of his own testimony, Pastor Johnny moved us to tears as he described how his father, a servant of the Lord, constantly prophesied about him and his ministry as a Psalmist and Evangelist. This was done by his father, since he was a child, who could not understand the words he heard, or their content.
Making a call, he invited all parents to come with their children and begin to bless them, and if they were not, they would also make statements with power and faith about what they wanted as a blessing for their children. He also encouraged, in a spirit of the Spirit, that singles who no longer have parents, make the declaration of this blessing themselves. The move of the Spirit of the Lord was moving; Throughout the room were heard the sobs of blessed children and parents moved by the tremendous opportunity to be an instrument of God to his children. The power of God was manifesting itself on the faces of the families, full of joy, reflecting the peace that the blessing of the Lord brings, some also healed wounds and restored relationships. God being good and faithful as always and filling us with gifts in this anniversary party and great celebration !!!
We thank all our brothers who attended from the churches of CVC SPAIN: Alicante, Costa Tropical, Granada, Malaga, CANADA: Calgary, COLOMBIA, CDMX: Ajusco, Iztacalco and Xola, EDOMEX: Atlacomulco, Ecatepec for joining us in this celebration Neza City, Cancun Quintana Roo, León Gto., Querétaro, Tlaxcala, Tultitlán.
With great expectations for the future, we thank our wonderful Lord for his faithfulness throughout these 35 years, and we are sure that we want to continue fulfilling the call that he has made us to be and to do. . .
