05 of December 2020
On Saturday, December 5, singles and teenagers participated in an afternoon of praise and worship where the special guest was Jesus Christ. We experience an afternoon filled with joy, praising and exalting the only one who deserves all the glory and honor.
Arturo Castillo, leader of the adolescent area, encouraged us through the message entitled "Commitment" to observe our need to acquire and maintain total and absolute commitments, considering our obligations and declarations as promises on which we need to work until we see them fulfilled.
Through the passage from Matthew 6: 19-21, he explained to us that the way we invest our resources reveals what we are really committed to. For this reason, he also exhorted us to focus on the things of God, pointing to Jesus Christ as the maximum example, who committed himself to our salvation and did not rest until he saw it fulfilled, paying the price that was necessary.
Philippians 2: 5-8
5 Let there therefore be in you this mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not regard being equal with God as something to cling to, 7 but emptied himself, taking form as a servant, made like men; 8 and being in the condition of man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient until death, and death on a cross.
If God has already committed himself to us, the question is: are we going to commit ourselves in the same way to Him?
